** This position will ideally be based in Austin, TX out of our headquarters office and be hybrid in office 2-days a week. Individuals need to be willing to commute to Downtown Austin 2 days a week. Candidates based in other geographies across the U.S. will also be considered for a remote role. **

Job Summary:  
The Director of Workday Practice will lead and manage a full platform Workday practice with a dedicated team of four, overseeing the following modules: Human Capital Management (HCM), Compensation, Benefits, Finance & Accounting (FDM), Expenses, Procurement, Time & Attendance, Absence Management, Payroll, and Integrations. This role involves the management, design, and development of Workday HRIS solutions, ensuring that HR technology supports the overall strategic goals of the organization. The Director will serve as the Workday system expert and lead efforts to optimize HR processes, manage system upgrades, and deliver data insights to support decision-making. 

Responsibilities:
 
  
HRIS Strategy & Leadership: 
  • Develop and execute the organization’s HRIS strategy to align with overall business objectives. 
  • Oversee the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Workday HRIS to ensure efficient and effective HR processes. 
  • Lead the HRIS team in the ongoing support, enhancement, and management of Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, etc.). 
System Administration & Management: 
  • Ensure that Workday HRIS configurations meet the organization’s needs, including but not limited to data security, workflow efficiency, and process automation. 
  • Oversee the development and management of system integrations between Workday and other enterprise applications. 
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. 
Data Management & Reporting: 
  • Drive HR data accuracy, integrity, and security within the Workday system. 
  • Lead efforts to develop and manage reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics to deliver insights that inform HR and business decision-making. 
  • Partner with HR leaders to provide workforce analytics, forecasting, and other data-driven insights. 
Collaboration & Cross-functional Partnership: 
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, Finance, Operations, Legal, and other departments to identify and implement system improvements and optimize processes across the organization. 
  • Serve as the key liaison between HR and IT for all HR technology initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business and technology goals. 
Team Leadership & Development: 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HRIS team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • Manage external vendors, consultants, and contractors involved in the implementation and support of HRIS systems. 
Training & User Support: 
  • Oversee the development and delivery of training programs for HRIS users to ensure the effective use of the Workday system. 
  • Provide leadership in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, as well as ensuring timely user support. 

Key Qualifications
:
 
Education: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR/IT certification is preferred. 
Experience: 
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HRIS management with a focus on Workday, including system implementation, configuration, and administration. 
  • Proven experience leading HRIS teams and managing complex system projects. 
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, workflows, and best practices. 
Skills: 
  • Deep expertise in Workday HCM, including configuration and administration of modules such as Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Management. 
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale HRIS implementations or upgrades. 
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and process improvements. 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
 Certifications: 
  • Workday certifications in HCM, Reporting, and other relevant modules are highly preferred.
