We are looking for an Instrument Sterilization Technician to support our surgery services. Work alongside our fast-paced and experienced soft tissue surgeons, our extremely innovative and progressive orthopedic surgeons in our bone and joint center, and play an integral role in providing them the tools they need to care for our patients.

Some of the things you'll do:

• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments (training will review proper handling and protocols)

• Properly pack instruments using the correct indicators and containers or pouches.

• Maintain and care for surgical instruments and be aware of inventory.

• Be able to properly use an Autoclave and know how to maintain it.

• Gain the EO2 Gas Sterilizer Certificate and be able to properly run gas loads.

• Surgical scrub laundry and some general cleaning in surgery areas; towels and drapes, autoclave cleaning, basic aseptic technique

Candidate Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task and think on your feet
• Knowledge of general surgical instrumentation (required)
• Knowledge of sterilization procedures (required)
• Are comfortable working with business related computer software (word + excel primarily)
• Have schedule flexibility
• Have the ability to stand for long periods of time
• Are passionate about working on a team
