Director of Finance - Operations (FP&A)
Description
** This position will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX with some hybrid flexibility. Individuals need to be willing to commute to Downtown Austin at least 3 days a week. **
Job Summary:
Reporting to the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Director of Finance - Operations will be responsible for overall financial management and coordination of operational results, assessing business trends, providing strategic support, addressing root causes of operation issues. Drive business results by identifying opportunities, influencing the operations leadership and the field to take actions to drive financial improvements.
Responsibilities:

Understanding business, solving problems, and making decisions through inclusive contributions of others
- Create and provide monthly presentations to management at location, region, and consolidated results.
- Lead and present monthly operating reviews with GVPs; ensure consistently scheduled.
- Using strong business acumen, collaborate as a cross-functional business partner providing site support and analysis in developing the long-range strategic plan, annual operating plan/budget, and rolling forecasts, as well as all financial analysis supporting both P&L and Balance sheet.
- Deep understanding of location issues, able to be in the details and then simplify for operations and finance leadership.
- Support the development and execution of sites plans, leading indicators, Key Performance Indicators, and trending metrics.
- Monitors and communicates monthly Risks and Opportunities
- Monitor weekly revenue and proactively communicate risks or changes in practice operations.
- Drive process improvements to streamline reporting, analytics, forecasting processes.
- Drive data enhancements through data warehouse and adaptive to support process improvement and enhanced analytics.
- Support and synthesize the analysis of site decisions, including site transfers and site expansions.
- Ensure process and review for standardized and effective site performance reviews, continuous improvement reviews, profit bridge analytics, and capital investment returns.

- Manage direct report’s performance, development, and training to ensure a highly skilled and engaged workforce that leverages standard tools and processes.
- Responsible for processing and communication of annual performance evaluation for direct reports.
Key Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Strong financial acumen (10+ years of financial experience)
- Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues.
- Self-driven and motivated mindset
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team with remote locations.
- Advanced Excel and modeling
- Excellent process improvement and problem-solving skills.
- Efficient and effective “hands on” dedication.
- Strong proficiency in forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling
- Veterinary, multi-site healthcare, multi-store retail or similar experience
- Experience with Adaptive Insights, Workday financial software or a similar platform
- Healthcare Industry experience preferred
