Your Role

All Pets Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our Thrive Pet Healthcare community. In this vital role, you’ll make a meaningful impact on the lives of our furry friends through end-to-end care. Your daily adventures will include everything from hands-on outpatient treatments and lab tests to assisting with patient admissions and discharges.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with our veterinarians to provide exceptional care and advocate for our furry patients while educating pet parents.
  • Support our medical team to ensure smooth operations and positive patient flow.
  • Communicate with clients about their pets’ health concerns and guide them on Thrive Membership options, medications, and treatments.
  • Help maintain accurate medical records and gather relevant health histories from clients.
  • Employ safe restraint techniques and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
  • Be a guiding light for fellow team members by mentoring and offering support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1-2 years experience as a veterinary assistant
  • Proficiency in IV catheter placement, blood work, and IV, IM, and SQ injections.
  • Skilled in monitoring anesthesia and handling various monitoring equipment.
  • A true team player with a hunger for learning and self-motivation.
  • Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks with ease.
  • Weekend availability is a must!

Compensation: Starting at $20-$23/hour, negotiable based on credentials and experience. We consider a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, and location.
