Position at Parkland Refining BC Ltd.

The Area 1 Railcar Loader/Unloader position is an entry level position. Minimum 4th Class Steam Ticket is required. Selection for this position will be in accordance with Article 10.03 of the UNIFOR Collective Bargaining Agreement.
 
Hourly Rate: $48.62/hour
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading/Unloading railcars (LPG/Lipids)
  • Environmental care regarding API separators and the Foreshore Basin
  • Tank Farm support as required
  • Wharf/Marine support as required
  • Safety Standby and Fire watch support
  • Assist with rail logistics as required
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated commitment to Incident and Injury Free Operations.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships within a team environment.
  • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines, manage a variable work schedule, and communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
  • Previous railcar experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve effectively.
  • A valid Fourth-Class Power Engineering Certificate is a minimum requirement for consideration for this position.
Additional Information:
  • Days of Work: 4 Shifts (Mon-Thu, Fri-Mon or Tue-Sat)
  • Hours of Work: 9.5hrs/day
  • Rate of pay: As per the Unifor agreement (Position is not part of the ODP)
