The Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing commercial lease agreements to identify key provisions, clauses, options, critical dates, and property details.
- Support the preparation of lease summaries and ensure accurate entry and validation of lease data within the Lease Harbor database.
- Maintain organized electronic lease files and documentation.
- Assist with tracking critical dates (renewals, expiries, notices, rent escalations, etc.).
- Provide support in interpreting lease terms and escalating questions or issues to senior team members as needed.
- Assist in managing landlord and tenant communications by organizing correspondence and identifying items requiring follow-up.
- Generate and support the preparation of ad-hoc and recurring reports related to lease expenses, rental income, and month-end accruals.
- Collaborate with construction/maintenance, operations, legal, and finance teams to gather information and support lease-related processes.
- Contribute to process documentation and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Education:
Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary program in one of the following areas: Commercial Property Management, Commercial Property Leasing, Business Administration, Law Clerk, Paralegal Studies or a related field.
Requirements:
- Available for a 4-month term beginning May 2026
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strength in data management and financial reconciliation
- Interest in commercial real estate, lease administration, or property management
- Ability to interpret written documents and ask thoughtful questions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); database experience is an asset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Professional and collaborative approach
