Purpose:

Responsible for coordinating the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the LPG plant, including product receipt, storage, dispatch, and inventory management. The role ensures adherence to all health, safety, environmental, company, regulatory and ISO requirements while maintaining operational efficiency and accurate reporting of plant activities

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the LPG plant, including product receipt, storage, and dispatch.
  • Ensure safe and efficient LPG loading operations for bulk trucks, cylinders, and other distribution channels.
  • Monitor plant processes to ensure operational continuity, maintenance, stock and product availability.
  • Ensure adherence to operational procedures for plant start-up, shutdown, and routine activities.
  • Ensure all HSEQ site rules, PPE, housekeeping (RISER) and other standards are communicated and adhered to by employees and contractors.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all HSE policies, LPG handling procedures, company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Support emergency preparedness initiatives and participate in emergency response drills.
  • Monitor LPG inventory levels and complete daily stock counts and reconciliation.
  • Track product receipts, transfers to bobtails and filling areas, along with product delivered to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Track maintained, condemned, new cylinders and empties.
  • Investigate and report any product discrepancies or variances.
  • Ensure packed truck inspections are completed and liaise with transport contractors and drivers to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and verification during loading and dispatch activities.
  • Report all maintenance defects and operational issues and work closely with the Maintenance team to ensure plant equipment operates efficiently and safely.

 

  • Provide operational guidance to plant attendants and contractors to accomplish production and maintenance targets.
  • Ensure personnel follow established procedures and safety standards.
  • Support training initiatives and operational competency development; monitor activities and supervise personnel.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Industrial Operations, Logistics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in LPG, terminal, industrial plant operations, or energy sector logistics.
  • Knowledge of LPG or industrial plant operations, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in inventory control, operational reporting, and logistics coordination.
