Essential Job Duties:   

  • Knowledge of and adheres to federal inspection regulations.
  • Ability to identify all meat products by name.
  • Safely operate all models of meat wrappers.
  • Responsible for accurate and correct pricing, tare weights, unit count and counts of meat product.
  • Insure quality of appearance and wrapping of all meat products.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and practices
  • Provide a safe work environment for all associates.
  • Knowledge of and adheres to all state and local health requirements.
  • Provides good personal hygiene.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to meet demands of daily production scheduling.
  • Performs duties of lower classifications as needed.
  • Responsible for production quality.
  • Ensure all tools and supplies needed to get the job done are available
  • Notify Lead when issues arise
  • Responsible for sanitation of work areas
  • Assures compliance with all company safety rules
  • Follow and monitor proper safety equipment usage and safety practices
  • Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF System.
  • Accountable to Denver Processing Food Safety and Quality Principles.

   

Qualifications:   

  • Ability to speak, read, and write English Language
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must attend work consistently
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work in cooperation with others

Physical Requirements:   

  • Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, crouching, kneeling intermittently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Be able to work in cold conditions
