Senior Corporate Paralegal
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: An hour north of Denver and ideally situated between Boulder, Fort Collins, and Greeley, JBS is the largest company headquartered in Colorado and one of the largest food companies in the world. We are seeking a motivated, highly organized, intellectually curious and proactive corporate paralegal to join our legal team.
The Senior Corporate Paralegal is responsible for performing paralegal, clerical, and administrative support as an integral member of the Legal Department team. This position will perform a variety of administrative duties to support the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Legal Department attorneys and staff, such as preparing and revising correspondence, preparing and maintaining various legal files and documents, and managing various corporate record keeping systems. You will frequently collaborate with teams across the Company to support business goals and ensure compliance with legal requirements. Additionally, you will stretch your skillset by frequently assisting with the wide range of legal matters facing a complex global organization.
Responsibilities:
1) Corporate Governance & Subsidiary Management
- Maintain corporate records and minute books, including board resolutions, meeting minutes and other governance documents.
- Oversee and maintain records for domestic and international subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Track and manage corporate renewals, registrations, and statutory filings for all entities.
- Manage, update, and administer the company's legal entity management database.
2) Commercial & Transactional support
- Provide support for corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing and restructuring transactions.
- Assist in conducting due diligence, preparing closing checklists and coordinating transaction documentation.
- Manage and administer the company’s contract lifecycle management (CLM) solution.
- Prepare and revise correspondence, various commercial contracts, and other legal documents.
- Research, draft, review and file legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Assist in the drafting and updating of template agreements.
3) Miscellaneous
- Support on administrative and project support tasks within the Legal Department.
- Ability to initiate, organize self and others, analyze, and complete tasks in areas of responsibilities.
- Prioritize, manage, and successfully complete multiple projects on schedule.
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with a variety of internal clients across all areas of the company.
- Assist the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Legal Department attorneys and staff on various legal projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience. Corporate paralegal services strongly preferred.
- Law firm and/or in-house experience preferred.
- Associate degree with relevant job experience required; bachelor's degree or paralegal training/certificate preferred.
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and SharePoint and open to learning various cloud-based systems and tools.
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting details and client service.
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work well independently and on a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels throughout the company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communications to the specific intended audience in a way that is clear, concise, and persuasive.
- Ability to embody and project both confidence and humility.

- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $80,000 - $100,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
