Job Title:  Night Shipping Supervisor       

Location:  Denver                                           

Reports To:  Supply Chain Manager        

Primary Work Location:  Production Floor    

                   

 

 Essential Job Duties:

  1. Supervises Night Shippers.
  •  Oversee their accurate and timely fulfillment of all daily orders, abiding by all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for the scheduling, hiring and training of all Night Shippers.
  • Using KRONOS Time and Attendance system, ensure all Night Shippers’ schedules and daily punches are accurate.

       2. Assumes responsibility for ensuring the effective and timely completion of all shipping functions.

  •  Ensures that product is boxed in accordance with company packaging procedures.
  • Prioritizes shipping picklist and checks for inventory availability.
  • Ensures appropriate handling of outgoing product.
  • Organizing Labor resources for: Order Selecting, Letdowns, Loading and Audits
  • Ensures order Selectors are pulling oldest product first 
  • Tracks inventory.
  • Identifies, tracks and resolves inventory and shipping errors, problems or delays.

       3. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that shipping functions are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Ensures that established safety and quality standards are met.
  • Ensures that schedules and deadlines are followed.
  1. Assumes responsibility for completing and maintaining all shipping related paperwork. Files and records paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensures the accurate completion of weekly shipping reports.
  • Maintains freight shipping files.
  • Maintains records of shippers' cost schedules (i.e., UPS, Federal Express, etc.).
  • Oversees the receipt and processing of purchase orders.
  • Ensures that inventory records are current. 
  1. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining good communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management.
  • Directs, assists, coordinates and supports Shipping Clerks as needed. Assists with training and scheduling.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems. Identifies problems and provides suggestions.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  1. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned. 
  • Ensures that boxes are prepared for product shipping.
  • Handles special international shipments as required.
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have previous Supervisor experience 
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Required Knowledge:

  • Understanding of inventory management functions
  • Familiarity with UPS, Federal Express, and Federal mailing regulations
  • Knowledge of product protection requirements and packing procedures 

Required Experience:

  • Experience with shipping and receiving 
  • Supervisory experience

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Able to use related computer applications
  • Well organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Solid supervisory skills
  • Good manual dexterity

Training and Licenses:

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Current Forklift and Pallet Jack Certification 

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, crouching, kneeling intermittently
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment

  • Base salary range of $56,627 - 62,561
