Position Title:Operations Training Supervisor

Department:Safety

Location:Greeley, CO Value Added Plant

Salary Class:Exempt

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide thorough training and support to ensure that all required new hire and monthly training is completed as scheduled
  • Ensure all safety policies and protocols are understood by maintenance personnel
  • Conduct initial evaluations for maintenance new hires.
  • Will complete job change forms for employee raises and content comprehension
  • Train maintenance employees that are beyond their probationary period in several maintenance topics such but not limited to, welding, power transmission, pneumatic, hydraulics, and electrical.
  • Ensure all new mechanics understand and are well trained in all safety policies
  • Ensure the basic foundation for a successful career in Maintenance
  • Ensures that all aspects of the company safety policy and procedures are adhered to in the direct and indirect areas of the plant.
  • Ensures that all aspects of the food safety, HAACP and Government programs are adhered to with emphasis on the continue compliance to these programs.
  • Directs assigned employees in the performance of approved maintenance work.
  • Conduct authorized training for various safety topics including: powered industrial trucks, lockout/Tagout, fall protection, respiratory protection, permit required confined spaces, hazard communication, maintenance training, and other topics as assigned.
  • Provide training support to the organization and ensure that all required new hire and monthly training is completed as scheduled.
  • Develop a routine maintenance training schedule for the team
  • Facilitation of DuPont Training Program which include training modules, hands on lab, and field training
  • Assist in developing and maintaining lab equipment, continuous development based on plant needs
  • Develop, distribute, and maintain key performance indicators including, related graphs, documents, etc.
  • Must be able to work flexible days/hours due to the different maintenance shifts the regular work schedule is TBD.
  • Aid safety department daily duties

Requirements:

  • Minimum of High School diploma, GED or equivalent with technical skill training in the mechanical area
  • Minimum of 3-5 years background experience in general industrial maintenance.
  • General knowledge of machinery in plant that applies to the industry
  • Must have background knowledge in electrical, hydraulic, welding and some PLC training
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal.
  • Interpersonal Skills

 

 

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong mechanical background to included welding, power transmission, hydraulics, and electrical experience.
  • Solid knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • Ideal candidate would have experience as a shop or mechanical teacher.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $65-75K and
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
