POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION:HR Employment Coordinator
DEPARTMENT:Human Resources - Employment
LOCATION:Ottumwa
SALARY CLASS:Non-Exempt
Principle Responsibilities:
- Job Postings
- Data Entry
- Heavy filing
- Touring applicants for plant jobs
- Reviewing applicants in Jobvite
- Scheduling Interviews and Physicals
- Conduct interviews
- Contacting and following up with candidates
- I-9 Completion
- Run E-Verify and Background Checks
- Maintaining Spreadsheets
- Performs routine clerical/administrative duties such as heavy filing, answering phones, responding to emails
- Ensuring all employment paperwork is accurately and timely completed
- Facilitate on-boarding process for hourly production and Maintenance
- Maintain adequate records to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and company specific guidelines
- Must be able to work weekends as needed either traveling for job fairs or covering in the plant
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Working Conditions:
• Production and maintenance settings
• Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives
• Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
• Mandatory Overtime & Weekends
• High Traffic/Fast Paced Environment
Education:
• High School degree or equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field preferred
Special Skills:
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English
• Bilingual skills preferred
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Computer knowledge required/Microsoft office applications and Plant specific programs
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work 50+ hours, must be flexible
• Good attendance and safety records
• Ability to travel for recruiting
• Prior experience with work authorization documentation preferred
Relationships:
Internal: Employees on the production line and plant management
External: Union
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in unionized environment
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Communication/public relations skills required
- Prior employment experience preferred
- Data entry accuracy
- Proficient Grammar skills
- Computer Skills essential (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
- Ability to work well with people while performing various tasks under pressure
- Professional phone skills
- Maintain Confidentiality a must
- Able to bend, stoop, and lift 20 lbs.
- Flexible – Team Player
- Highly organized with neat work habits
Comments: The schedule for this position is typically Mon - Fri. Weekend work required as scheduled. During Fall Season, Saturdays are typically scheduled. Saturday and Sunday during recruiting season possible.
