NIGHT SHIFT SAFETY SUPERVISOR

 

Responsibilities: 

  •        Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures specific to the meat packing industry, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and best practices.
  •        Conduct regular inspections of the facility, production lines, and equipment to identify safety hazards and promptly implement corrective actions.
  •        Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures for machinery maintenance and repairs and conduct regular safety checks to prevent accidents and injuries.
  •        Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses related to safety and implement preventative measure to minimize future occurences.
  •        Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, quality assurance, and maintenance to ensure effective safety practices throughout the plant.
  •        Stay up to date with relevant regulations, industry trends, and best practices in sanitation, safety, and food handling for the meat packing industry.
  •        Meet Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals
  •        Other duties as assigned  

 

Qualifications:

  •        High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  •        Ability to communicate fluently in English (both written and verbally)
  •        Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  •        Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  •        Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  •        Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  •        Ability to prioritize tasks
  •        Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  •        Ability to work well in a team
  •        Proficient with Microsoft
  •        Excellent attendance (Internal candidates must have less than 4 points)
  •        Ability to work 6 days a week
  •        Ability to be flexible with schedule when needed
  •        Ability to motivate and challenge team members in a positive manner
  •        Trustworthy with confidential and sensitive material
  •        Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation 
  •        As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
