Worker's Comp Code: 4150 Manufacturing                           Salary: Base plus 15% differ.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the safe and accurate operation of the Waste Water Treatment (WWT) process and all supporting activities. This position also requires limited monitoring of facilities equipment and some minor mechanical repair to production process equipment.
Description of Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Follow the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and Equipment Operations
  • Operate all wastewater treatment equipment, sludge processing equipment, starts, stops, and/or adjustments motors, pumps, and other plant equipment
  • Adding, measuring and monitoring chemicals, collecting water samples and completing testing to ensure the treatment operation is meeting the required company, legal and ethical standards and requirements
  • Evaluate data and maintains detailed records of process control analysis and various readings
  • All company policies, procedures and safety rules must be followed and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required  
  • Responsible for keeping the work area clean
  • Employees must maintain regular and satisfactory attendance
  • Maintain continuous and accurate counts of all requested and maintained inventory and inventory transactions in department
  • Suggest improvements that will increase yields or reduce operating costs
  • Build and maintain a result based working relationships with Engineering, Maintenance, Shipping, Accounting and Human Resources all other applicable positions
  • Works with Quality Assurance personnel to assist in ISOS9000/140001 audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed                                                                                                                
                                                           
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree from technical institute or equivalent industry/ military training preferred
  • Water and Environmental Technology Certificate preferred
  • OSHA Certification a plus
  • Confined spaces and hazardous material training a plus
  • Requires excellent verbal and written English communication skills 
  • Ability to work with a diverse work force 
  • Forklift certified, or the ability to be certified within 30 days 
  • 1 year waste water treatment experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate across multiple departments and levels of business from executives and engineers to production leaders and operators
  • Understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiple, divide) required                               
  • A strong attention to detail and analytics that translate into the ability to not only present data, but also advice on process improvement based on the data
  • Self-initiative person with a desire to learn, grow and evolve your role and its effectiveness
  • Ability to work in a multitasking environment and to adjust to rapidly shifting priorities              
  • Strong computer knowledge especially with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Safety-first mindset where requirements will be strictly followed and promoted at all times
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to manage physical lifting of multiple items up to 50lbs. frequently
  • Ability to use hand truck with up to 3000lbs on pallet up a 5% slope
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Standing, handling and walking up to 90% of shift
  • Sitting, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching occasionally
Work Environment:
  • Environment can be loud with multiple piece of machinery running at the same time
  • General manufacturing and clean room environments
·        Working with toxic or caustic chemicals daily
·        Position includes frequent outdoor activities
·        Use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required.
·        Some work is completed is a super clean room. It is required that anyone in a clean room must  wear a company provided full Class 10 Cleanroom outfits, inclusive of snoods, masks, bunny suits, boots and gloves
Additional Items:
  • Must be flexible with scheduling. Although this is generally a set schedule, there will be business demands that fall outside of normal working hours that require an understanding of schedule adjustment to complete tasks as expected.
  • Use of factory provided uniforms and special factory shoes are required. Additionally, some roles will be requirement to wear full Class 10 Cleanroom outfit (inclusive of snoods, masks, bunny suits, boots and gloves) at times for this role.
