Position at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.

SEWS — Farmington Hills, Michigan Office.  Although located at SEWS – Farmington Hills Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work.  Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.  
 
 
Basic Purpose:
 
Support the Value Chain Integration Team in TRAINING and PROJECT completion for the North American Business Unit. 
 
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  1. Develop and support training schedule.
  2. Create, maintain and complete training on template-set for training modules [i.e. 1-pager, eLearning, MS Teams, in-person, etc.]
  3. Use ISD [Instructional Systems Design] to deploy training materials, facilitate actual training and assess training needs for North American Business Unit.
  4. Ensure consistency, accuracy and quality of content.
  5. File, organize, and maintain documents for internal and external customers.
  6. Communicate with technical and manufacturing experts to gain understanding of products, including appropriate use and safety, to create complete and accurate documentation.
  7. Have strong communication skill-set balancing expectation and empathy within the diverse working culture of Sumitomo.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree along with TRAINING experience [Required]
  • Proven experience with MS Office including Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
  • Exemplary writing and proofing skills with an excellent communication skill-set
  • Manufacturing or engineering experience [Preferred]
