Human Resources Manager
Description
BASIC PURPOSE: The purpose of this role is the supervision and management of the HR Department to organize, develop and implement Human Resource, Associate Relations and Safety activities in accordance with the Company’s goals and objectives at ECSC and TCSC.
BASIC POSITION DUTIES:
- Recommends, develops and oversees company and associate activities, both in-house and in the community, to promote a positive work environment and morale.
- Counsels and advises management personnel on work related issues to ensure labor effectiveness as well as fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Coordinates and conducts recruiting and staffing activities from sourcing to hiring. Conducts interviews, reference checks, new associate orientations, benefits enrollment, etc.
- Responsible for safety program including Safety Committee, accident prevention, training, accident reporting, investigation and administration of worker’s compensation documentation. Responsible for maintaining all documentation consistent with OSHA.
- Responsible for timely completion of Hourly and Salary payroll. Manage associate attendance and leave policies.
- Administers and ensures compliance with Federal and State laws such as OSHA, EEOC, Worker’s Comp, Unemployment, FMLA, ADA, etc.
- Responsible for HRIS and Personnel File data integrity
- Represents SEWS-ECSC in hearings and legal proceedings related to employment and worker’s compensation matters.
- Oversees disciplinary/termination process to ensure consistency, ensuring the exit process is followed.
- Works with Corporate General Affairs on the implementation and administration of programs such as Wellness, CIA, Kaizen, Safety, Associate Relations and Benefits.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 – 10 years progressive experience in HR and Safety in a supervisory capacity
- Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal
- Proficient communication skills in English and Spanish
- Experience in Warehouse or Manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of ADP Vantage, Microsoft Office, and Smartsheets preferred
- 10% Travel Required
