CNC CAM Programmer ($30-$40 Per Hour!)
Description
Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing, Inc. is looking for a CNC CAM Programmer in Grand River, OH location.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, design data in order to calculate part dimension
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Gibbs CAD/CAM software
- Update CNC programs and manufacturing processes to help optimize machining lead times
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments
- Generate setup instructions and machine tool lists for operators
- Recommend tooling applications and operational sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements
- May set-up for and instruct Machine Operators of lower classification
- Recognize, report, and correct errors
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training (2 year degree)
- Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
- Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
- 5+ years of CNC Programming Experience
