Judd Wire Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a Business Unit Manager – Aerospace for our Turners Falls, MA facility. We are seeking a dynamic and results driven professional to help us continue to expand our global presence. This role provides a seasoned business professional the opportunity to shape and drive the growth of a global product market. Individuals will be responsible for development and management of annual and long-term business plans for the global Aerospace product market including market revenue growth, pricing, net margin, promotion and other similar responsibilities necessary to achieve product group profitability and growth objectives. Other duties include, coordinating and reporting with SEI and SEIW on market conditions as well as customer requirements as needed.            

Job Duties

• Work with Vice President to formulate and prepare annual business plan including: business narrative, product market sales and profitability forecasts, market trends, competitive landscapes, core product plan including cost down initiatives, new business projects, and marketing communications plan.       
• Sales management responsibility for maintaining sales/profit objectives for the global aerospace product market as well as overall customer relations.         
• Coordinate new product development projects, engineering requests with both Judd Wire engineering/manufacturing, and other Sumitomo locations as needed.
• Participate in Global Sumitomo Sales and Marketing events and teleconferences as well as product literature creation, trade show participation, and industry/customer presentations.        
• Prepare pricing policies/guidelines for global aerospace products and market.         
• Help prepare and coordinate major quotation and bid packages with appropriate Sales Engineer and field sales.
• Provide inventory min/max criteria on key products and work towards managing inventory levels at appropriate level to support customer demand and Judd financial goals.
• Facilitate all applicable sales, customer service, purchasing, engineering, and quality teams efforts. 
• Frequent travel in support of new existing and new business generation as well as engineering objectives. 
• Create, study, and react marketing plans to address technology along with market trends. 
• Perform other similar duties as responsibilities necessitate or as assigned. 

 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business or of a technical nature (MBA or masters in related field preferred)
• 10+ years of practical experience
• Be able to multitask and manage a variety of projects and priorities
• Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
• Be an individual who is a self-starter, motivated and resourceful
• Detail oriented and very hands on
