Customer Service Representative
Sumitomo Wiring System (U.S.A.), Inc., a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time and non-exempt Customer Service Representative who will be working in El Paso, TX.
Position Description:
· Customer Relations – Act as primary SWS USA contact for assigned customer accounts / Sumitomo mfg locations.
· Order Management – Manage all customer orders to ensure accurate order receipt and entry, on time delivery of daily shipments, and timely execution for delivery of expedited shipping requests and supplemental orders.
· Order Analysis. Process orders/releases and analyze data for proper order levels.
· Inventory Control – Monitor stock inventory levels to ensure availability to meet customer demand; communicate with customers, MSF locations, corporate staff and other suppliers to ensure timely arrival of finished goods; request expedited shipments of finished goods as needed.
· Product Delivery – Monitor shipping schedules to ensure complete and timely delivery of customer orders, coordinate special deliveries, communicate order status to customers; and coordinate/communicate shipment requirements with mfg locations.
· Other duties as assigned, as necessary.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Basic Duties:
· Create spreadsheets to track important customer information and orders.
· Transfer data from customers' websites, spreadsheets, etc. to the system.
· Organize existing data in a spreadsheet.
· Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records.
· Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers.
· Search for and investigate information contained in files.
· Input text-based and numerical information from source documents.
· Provide administrative support.
· Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
· Review data for deficiencies or errors.
· Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry.
· Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis.
· Type in data quickly and efficiently.

Main functions:
· Support all duties related to customer service.
· Process and edit customer orders (release and spot buy orders).
· Record and file copies of received orders.
· Coordinate/resolve issues of concern between customers and vendors as related to late deliveries, expedites, etc.
· Initiate purchase requisitions (customer accounts, quotes, etc).
· Receive, adjust, and attempt to settle customer complaints.
· Compile statistics and prepare various reports as needed for assigned accounts and/or Sumitomo’s customer base.
· Prepare credit & debit memos as necessary.
· Research claims of non-payment of invoices.
· Follow up with back order reports for assigned customers.
· Prepare quotations as necessary – upon customers’ requests.
· Prepare monthly forecast.
· Support customers on daily requests.
· Perform other dutiess as necessary
Qualifications
· Previous experience negotiating with customers
· Previous customer service experience
· Minimum WPM 40-45 with 100% accuracy
The base salary range for this position is $15 to $17 hourly depending on experience.
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and competencies. Base pay is one part of the total compensation as well as a strong benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
