Maintenance

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for an experienced full-time maintenance mechanic for our second shift to work at our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the maintenance manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform operations necessary to maintain, install, construct, remove, rebuild, and repair equipment.
  • Install, rebuild, and repair production equipment and facilities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties.
  • Maintain necessary logs and records.
  • Make and repair parts for equipment to the accuracy required.
  • Within a team environment, efficiently and safely perform all functions to maximize equipment operations and team harmony.
  • Provide active input to continuous process and equipment improvement.
  • Make minor repairs and adjustments to machines, gauges, and equipment.
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment and fixtures.
  • Provide accurate documentation of maintenance shop operations.
  • Effectively communicate job-related information.
     
  • Maintain machine tools and equipment

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and write.  Must be able to comprehend procedures, process documents, work instructions, and equipment manuals.
  • Understanding of basic math.
  • Ability to write process and progress information.
  • Setup or machine maintenance experience required
  • Demonstrate mechanical ability.

     

The base salary range for this position is $20.00 to $ 25.00- hourly/annually.

Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
