We are adding to our team to focus primarily on Nutanix Cloud Services adoption. As a Portfolio Specialist at Nutanix, you will be a technical solution leader within our commercial sales organization working with our most important customers. You will work within a highly skilled virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a deep technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, to achieve/exceed quarterly Nutanix multi product sales and usage/consumption targets in your assigned segment. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Nutanix and non-Nutanix technologies.
 
Your Role
  • As a Nutanix Cloud Portfolio Specialist, you will be at the forefront of helping customers envision, design, and adopt Nutanix Cloud Services. You will act as a trusted cloud advisor—shaping customer strategy, influencing buying decisions, and architecting secure, scalable, hybrid and multi-cloud solutions that solve real business challenges.
  • Working as a core member of the opportunity team, you will deliver compelling technical presentations, lead hands-on demonstrations, and drive proof-of-concept engagements that showcase the power and flexibility of Nutanix Cloud Services. You will design and implement mission-critical cloud architectures, collaborating closely with partners, solution providers, and Nutanix Consulting Services to ensure successful outcomes. Your technical leadership will directly contribute to customer success, market expansion, and revenue growth.
  • Beyond customer engagements, you will be an active voice within Nutanix and the broader cloud community. You’ll participate in internal technical forums, represent Nutanix at industry events, and share your expertise by creating blogs, white papers, and reference architectures that highlight best practices in cloud, hybrid, and multicloud solutions.
  • You will also play a key role in shaping the future of Nutanix Cloud Services. By providing real-world feedback to product management, sales, marketing, and engineering, you will influence go-to-market strategies, help remove sales blockers, and guide the evolution of current and next-generation cloud offerings.
 
What You Will Bring
  • 5+ years of relevant hybrid-cloud experience in enterprise pre/post-sales engineering.
  • Real world hands-on proficiency with public cloud platforms:  AWS and Microsoft Azure Required. Google Cloud (GCP) optional.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Data Center products with practical understanding of Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud architectures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams, leveraging company resources to drive sales and solve customer challenges.
  • Strong communication, time management, problem-solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on proficiency with networking design and firewalls.
  • Configured and deployed workloads in the public cloud from beginning to end.
  • Experience with cloud governance, VDI, software-defined virtual desktops, IoT applications and infrastructure and disaster recovery.
  • Familiarity and experience with hyper-converged architectures, including the Nutanix Core HCI Platform.
  • Located in the Western United States
 A successful Portfolio Specialist will be a/have
  • Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Architect- The expertise and ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures in the cloud services and application security space is required.
  • Cloud Trust- Demonstrated knowledge of IoT Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, VDI and industry compliance and how they factor into cloud and hybrid solution decisions is preferred.
  • Technical breadth- Enterprise-scale hands-on experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, networking,  migrations, and technology management are preferred.
  • Collaborative- Able to work cohesively with members of the Nutanix sales, services, and marketing organizations and Nutanix partners is required.
  • Excellent Communicator- Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, product demo, writing, and verbal communication skills is required.
  • Executive Presence- Validated experience engaging with senior level executives is preferred.
  • Performer- Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations is required.

How We Work:
In this role, you can expect a remote work environment with up to 50% travel. However, we would prefer for this person to be located in the Central United States. This setup allows for flexibility in your work schedule while also providing opportunities for face-to-face interactions with team members, customers, and partners. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $196,000 and USD $294,000 per year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
