About the Team
The Staff Salesforce Developer will join the Salesforce Delivery team at Nutanix, located in San Jose, CA. This dynamic team is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that empower and optimize the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions. You will report to the Sr. Manager of SaaS Engineering - Salesforce Delivery, who leads with a focus on mentorship and fostering a collaborative team environment. The manager encourages open communication and values team input, promoting an atmosphere where ideas can thrive. The role will be hybrid, requiring attendance in the office a few days a week to facilitate in-person collaboration and engagement.
This position does not have any travel requirements, allowing the hire to focus on their local responsibilities and team collaborations without the need for frequent travel.
Your Role
- Design and develop innovative solutions on the Salesforce platform to meet business objectives.
- Participate in technical design discussions and create documentation aligned with business needs.
- Develop, test, and document custom development, integrations, and data migration for Salesforce implementations.
- Analyze application and system problems, implement solutions, and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Provide end-user support for Salesforce-related issues and guide them towards effective resolutions.
- Stay updated on Salesforce enhancements and recommend app optimizations to management.
- Establish clear work breakdown structures and timelines for assigned tasks to ensure project alignment.
What You Will Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Application Development.
- Proficient in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce, Apex.
- Skilled in developing and integrating REST and SOAP APIs.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and problem-solving techniques.
- Familiar with Salesforce development best practices and release management processes.
- Preferred certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I/II and/or Salesforce Administrator.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools (e.g., GitHub).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $143,200 and USD $285,600 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
