About the Team
At Nutanix, you will be joining the Frontline team, an in-house Configure Price Quote (CPQ) solution developed by our dedicated SaaS team. This global team, comprised of over 25 talented engineers based primarily in India, is on a mission to replace Salesforce CPQ, formerly known as Steelbrick. As a part of our dynamic and high-performing team, you will be immersed in critical Nutanix initiatives, including hardware platform launches and the introduction of new software SKUs. The Frontline team plays a pivotal role in enhancing customer user experiences, optimizing internal processes, and automating tasks for sales and renewal teams, ensuring operational efficiency. With a diverse skill set and a collaborative mindset, you can expect to tackle challenging problems that drive significant impact.
You will report to the Sr. Manager of SaaS Engineering, who champions innovation and growth while nurturing a collaborative environment. Your work setup will be hybrid, requiring you to be in the office three days a week, allowing for flexibility while maintaining team cohesion. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this position, ensuring you can focus on your work and contribute to our exciting projects without the need for frequent travel.
Your Role
- Design and implement scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user requirements into technical specifications.
- Create well-architected REST APIs and integrate with third-party systems via RESTful/SOAP.
- Write clean, efficient code and perform unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and non-production environment issues effectively.
- Engage in technical design discussions and contribute innovative ideas during team meetings.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities.
- Set and achieve specific performance goals within the first year, including delivering key features and improving system efficiency.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Java and Java-based technologies, including Spring Boot.
- Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, particularly JavaScript frameworks like React.
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party systems via APIs.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and best coding practices.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases such as Postgres or MongoDB.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous learning mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 145,600 and USD $ 218,400 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
