We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic finance leader to join us as the Senior Director, International Sales Finance. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee financial planning, complex deal structuring, and sales operations across the EMEA and APAC Theaters. You will act as a key partner to global sales leadership, driving commercial execution, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment. The role also plays a key leadership role in field enablement, process design, audit readiness, and talent development within Sales Finance. About the Team

At Nutanix, you will be a pivotal leader within the Sales Finance team, a dynamic group that partners closely with business leaders across various functions. The team culture is high-energy, hardworking, and focused on enabling business growth through financial excellence and strategic insight. You will collaborate extensively with Theater Sales leaders, Global Deal Desk, Pricing and Deal Solutions teams to drive impactful commercial decisions. 

 

Your Role

  • Deal Structuring & Governance: Lead and establish in partnership with deal desk, accounting and others, scalable guardrails for non-standard and complex sales programs, driving decision frameworks for deal structures and customer financing programs. 
  • Own finance approval for large, non‑standard, and strategic transactions 
  • Ensure all deals comply with corporate policy, revenue recognition principles, and internal approval thresholds. 
  • Partner closely with Legal and Deal Desk to ensure contracts accurately reflect approved commercial intent and mitigate downstream risk. 
  • Pricing and discounting: Represent EMEA and APAC Finance in all updates to pricing and discounting guardrails. This includes Finance leadership responsibility for international pricing governance. 
  • Commercial Authority: Act as the primary commercial signatory on agreements and contracts for Nutanix BV (International), ensuring compliance and optimal commercial terms. 
  • Board Member Nutanix Netherlands BV: As one of 4 directors of the main trading entity you will fulfil appropriate legal and statutory requirements and be a representative of the company on the NL and other workers councils as necessary, 
  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Drive improvements in forecast accuracy, data integrity, and executive reporting.  
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with Theater and Functional Sales leaders across Field, Channel, SE and Renewals to manage revenue and opex, improve commercial execution, oversea GTM organisation and model changes align on strategic priorities, and prepare impactful executive presentations. 
  • Deal Inspection and Forecast Review: Lead the monthly review of current quarter deals and full quarter forecast with the extended finance team 
  • Revenue Optimization: Oversee deal structures, ensuring that complex, high-stakes deals are structured to maximize value and drive key SaaS metrics including ARR, NRR, and Bookings, while adhering to financial policies. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as a bridge between Sales, Finance, and Legal, ensuring seamless coordination of inputs from cross-functional groups to resolve forecast gaps and close strategic transactions. 
  • Team Leadership: Manage the EMEA and APAC Theater Finance teams, a team of 6 based across UK, Netherlands, India and Singapore.  

 

What You Will Bring

  • Extensive leadership experience in Sales Finance, Commercial Finance, and Deal Structuring, ideally within a high-growth enterprise software or SaaS environment. 
  • Advanced expertise in Revenue Recognition and financial reporting related to ARR, NRR, and Bookings. 
  • Proven track record of managing and closing complex sales programs and non-standard deals. 
  • Deep understanding of Nutanix product offerings and global market dynamics. 
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial data into concise, one-page executive summaries and impactful presentation slides. 
  • Ability to think creatively, stay organized, and prioritize deadlines in a dynamic, matrixed organization. 
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to confidently influence and partner with senior leadership. 

 

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
