The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join our small but mighty Facilities team in Durham.  We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Meeting & Event Coordinator to plan and execute internal meetings, events, and programs from start to finish.
 
This role partners closely with internal teams and vendors to deliver high-quality experiences that support business goals and enhance employee engagement.
 
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and brings a strong passion for creating engaging, well-executed experiences. This is an on-site role with direct involvement in event setup, execution, and follow-up.    
 
Your Role
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, events, and team activities
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand goals and recommend themes, catering, setup, and décor
  • Manage all event logistics including catering, AV, space setup, and coordination with IT/facilities
  • Directly responsible for event setup, teardown, and on-site execution
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance
  • Track budgets, expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Order and maintain food, snacks, and event supplies
  • Create event timelines, diagrams, and post-event follow-ups
  • Support employee engagement through seasonal events, pop-ups, and special programs
  • Plan and execute programs, events, and workplace initiatives that promote employee engagement, well-being, and a positive office culture
  • Provide general support to the events team and other administrative duties as needed

What You’ll Bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, or similar role
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and multiple events simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail with an eye for quality, food, and aesthetics
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable being on-site, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs
Work Arrangement
Onsite in Durham: This role requires 5 days a week onsite in our Durham office.  Please speak with your recruiter for details. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager. 
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD  $45,600 and $68,400.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience,  in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
