The Systems Engineer team at Nutanix is a collaborative group located in Dallas, focused on delivering innovative technical solutions that meet client needs. Their mission is to ensure that clients can effectively navigate the complexities of their IT environments by delivering solutions that cater specifically to their unique requirements.

You will report to the Manager, Systems Engineering, who values open communication and encourages team members to take initiative in their professional growth. The manager fosters a supportive atmosphere that promotes collaboration and continuous learning. The role is designed to be remote, with team members expected to engage in office activities as needed to facilitate essential in-person interactions, balancing flexibility with teamwork.

This position requires travel of up to 30% to meet with clients and support sales initiatives, ensuring that you can effectively address customer inquiries and foster relationships in the Dallas area.


Your Role

  • Engage with clients to assess their technical requirements and propose tailored system solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to address customer inquiries and ensure alignment on technical specifications.
  • Participate in team meetings to share project updates, enhance client engagement strategies, and foster collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot client issues effectively, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Conduct ongoing research on industry trends and product developments to continuously enhance technical expertise.
  • Achieve key onboarding learning milestones to prepare for increased responsibilities and contributions within the team.
  • Support a collaborative team culture by actively participating in mentorship opportunities and knowledge sharing.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience with virtualization, data center, and/or storage solutions.
  • Strong technical acumen and adaptability to emerging technologies.

Work Arrangement

Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.


The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 196,000 and USD $ 294,000 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
