Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud, is looking to hire outstanding software developers to join our Software Defined Security product called Nutanix Flow. Your Role
Develop a world-class Software-Defined Networking (SDN) based solution that is distributed, resilient, and highly performant for large-scale enterprise deployments.
Adapt best engineering practices, including the creation of functional specs, design documents, and test plans, while maintaining high code hygiene and quality.
Collaborate with a geo-distributed team to own and deliver projects end-to-end with high quality and predictability.
Mentor junior team members and participate in technical knowledge-sharing events, such as tech talks and boot camps.
What You Will Bring
BE/BTech/ME/MTech or equivalent in Computer Science.
3+ years of software development experience with advanced-level programming in Python, Golang, Java, C, or C++.
Strong fundamentals of Operating Systems, Multi-threaded/Multi-Process Applications, IPC, and RPC.
Professional experience developing software for networking or security products with a strong understanding of the Linux operating system and utilities.
Deep knowledge of the TCP-IP Suite of protocols (Ethernet, VLAN, IP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS).
Hands-on experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and Protobuf.

Work Arrangement Hybrid/Remote (for roles advertised in both RTO & non-RTO locations e.g United States, Mexico, Canada): Subject to business requirements, this role may be determined to be remote or in a hybrid capacity. If the selected candidate resides within 50 miles of a Nutanix office requiring in-office presence (specifically in San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney, or Tokyo), it will require working onsite a minimum of three days per week. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by the hiring manager.
Pay Transparency - Role Location The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $128,800 and CAD $193,200 per annum.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
