About the Team
The Business Development Manager, Digital Sovereignty, will be part of a newly established team focused on engaging European organizations and public sector institutions. This team, situated in the EMEA region, aims to address the critical area of digital sovereignty within a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. It fosters a collaborative culture that values building meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that the organization's messaging and solutions resonate well within the public sector. The mission of the team is to become a trusted partner for European entities by providing strategic guidance on digital sovereignty and compliance with public sector frameworks.
You will report to the Director of Strategic Sales for EMEA, who emphasizes the importance of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and cross‑functional alignment with Public Sector leadership in EMEA , given the regulatory and governmental nature of the role. They foster an environment of engagement, encouraging team members to develop expertise and become valued resources for the sales organization. The work setup for this role is remote, allowing flexibility for the candidate to operate from various locations, with no specific requirement for in-office days.
The role requires up to 40% travel, primarily within the EU region, as the Business Development Manager will need to engage with government entities and public sector institutions across various countries. This travel is essential for attending meetings, facilitating discussions, and building solid relationships within the sector.
 
Your Role
  • Engage with European organizations and public sector institutions to promote digital sovereignty and navigate procurement frameworks.
  • Act as a strategic adviser to the sales team, enabling and informing them on regulatory matters and public sector frameworks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in government and public sectors across the EU.
  • Conduct enablement sessions for sales teams to enhance understanding of public sector regulations and frameworks.
  • Participate in regional forecast and deal review calls to identify support needs and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead efforts in responding to long-term RFPs and framework bids for public sector contracts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Nutanix products and align them with EU regulatory requirements.
  • Establish a strong presence for Nutanix in the European public sector and contribute to shaping the company's strategy in this domain.
 
What You Will Bring
  • 15+ years of experience in complex enterprise/ governmental sales as well in consulting/ advisory
  • Deep understanding of EU public sector frameworks, regulations, and procurement processes.
  • Expert knowledge of digital sovereignty and cybersecurity principles.
  • Strong persuasive communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of Nutanix solutions and cloud infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience in managing long-term RFP and framework bids.
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and dynamics.
  • Familiarity with compliance certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CC EAL4+)  is a plus.
 
Work Arrangement
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
