Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (Flexibility to work 1st or 3rd) Travel Requirements: 0-25%
Job Summary:
The Assistant Human Resources Manager is an individual that is proficient in Human Resources policies, regulations and compliance. Exceptional communication skills and strong commitment to fostering positive employee relations. Eager to contribute to the success of the Human Resources team and JBS Beardstown, IL. The individual must be dedicated, professional and a creative thinker. Must be results-driven. This individual will supervise one HR/Payroll Coordinator and two walking Union Stewards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department
- Handles investigations, discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
- Provides support and guidance for HR staff
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains a knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Ensure the Company and Human Resources Department maintain a fair, firm and constant department.
- Ensures all attendance and NCNS reports are ran daily and corrective action takes place.
- Sends daily reports to Human Resource Manager, Human Resources Director and Facility.
- Meet KPI Goals.
- Learn, practice and master all JBS HR policies and procedures
- Other duties as required

Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Bilingual (Spanish, French, Creole, Burmese)
- Ability to work with SAP System

Education and Experience:
- Associates/Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred but not required) or Equivalent Work Experience.
- Must have Protein Manufacturing experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Climbing stairs.
- Regular Visits to Production Floor: Hot, Cold, Smells, PPE Required
