SANITATION WORKER
Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:
Sanitation workers are responsible for disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling production machines, as well as cleaning and sanitizing production areas. It is mandatory to complete Safety Training, including but not limited to LOTO, Food Safety/GMP training, Chemical training, and any other training deemed necessary to become qualified to complete required job duties. Can be assigned other duties as needed.

Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to work quickly in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work overtime as assigned.
Must be able to work in a refrigerated/cold and/or hot environments, with temperatures ranging from 10 degrees to 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities
and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak
simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement,
volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use
hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and
arms. The employee is required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch,
or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
For this position, it is required that the employee is able to:
- Use hands and arms to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Keep up with the physical demands needed to complete assigned tasks
- Walk or stand for extended periods of time
