OVERVIEW

Catapult Learning is in search of bilingual and special education teachers with a proven track-record of student success to teach an after-school (remote) program through the New York City DOE. We are looking for educators who speak Spanish and/or Mandarin. This is a virtual position and while we are looking for educators who have virtual teaching experience, those who have only worked in physical classrooms are strongly encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and manage a positive virtual classroom
  • In collaboration with supervisors, work to ensure a high-level of instructional delivery to maximize student achievement
  • Deliver high-quality lessons virtually
  • Assign work to help the students learn the material
  • Administer assessments to evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Work in collaboration with the other virtual teachers as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • New York State teaching license required
  • New York State students with disabilities certification required
  • Bilingual language extension certification required

We are specifically looking for candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and/or Mandarin.

LOGISTICS

  • Monday – Thursday (Afterschool and/or Saturdays)
  • 6-20 hours a week
  • Virtual/Remote
  • Start date – March 1st
  • Grade level: K-5
  • Salary: $50 - $53 per hour depending on certifications and experience
