Materials Manager 
New York, NY 
Extended Learning Year (ELY) 
 
Overview: 
The Extended Learning Year Material Manager will supervise the full process of equipping each host site with the materials necessary for operational and instructional excellence. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
  • Work alongside Catapult Learning Warehouse Team to designate space for storing and staging materials 
  • Use historical data and program projections to order all curricular and operational materials 
  • Create a timeline for material orders 
  • Work with principals, vendor partners, and Site Coordinators to manage initial material drop-off and final material pick-up 
  • Plan Site Coordinator training for materials processes 
  • Maintain open lines of communication with Site Coordinators 
  • Work with vendor partners to manage all printing and shipping for internal documents 
  • Guide the establishment of systems to quickly fulfill ongoing material orders

Qualifications 
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 
  • Requires a college degree, excellent communication skills, and a strong comfort level with managing databases.  
  • Must be an effective communicator and extremely organized. Previous experience with materials management a plus. Previous 
  • Catapult Learning employees must be in good standing to qualify for this position.  
  • Must be available for entirety of the ELY program. 
 
NYC DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, NONPUBLIC SCHOOLS REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Copy of College Diploma 
  • Copy of Current Resume 
  • Attend and complete the following online courses through the DOE 
  • School Violence Prevention Course 
  • Child Abuse Reporting Course 
 
Staff will not be allowed to be in the school until the above is completed and verified by the DOE. 
 
Physical and Working Condition Requirements: 
Lifting, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, and traveling by various appropriate commercial means.
