Corporate Paralegal I

Summary: We are seeking a skilled paralegal with 3-5 years of experience in general corporate law, specifically in-house insurance experince. The ideal candidate will possess a paralegal certificate and a strong understanding of legal procedures and documentation related to corporate matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Make decisions, be resourceful, and work independently with minimal supervision as part of a busy legal department in a complex, fast-paced organization.
  • Produce high quality work, including performing initial review of legal documents ensuring consistency with prior documents of a similar nature.
  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate on an ongoing basis with business partners and internal clients.
  • Assist in-house counsel with insurance and related litigation matters, including gathering relevant documentation, communicating with insurance providers, and maintaining claim files.
  • Professionally and effectively communicate with all levels of staff within FullBloom and with external partner groups.

 

  • Conduct legal research on corporate law topics as needed.
  • Assist in preparation for corporate meetings, including drafting agendas and minutes.
  • Maintain organized and updated legal files and databases.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal. Preference for experience in a self-insured environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law principles and procedures.
  • Experience in self-insured or loss sensitive programs preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a proven track record of forging relationships among stakeholders.

 

  • First-rate organizational and analytical skills and well-developed judgment.

 

  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

 

  • Proficiency in legal research and document management software.
  • A proactive, attentive attitude toward both daily tasks and long-term initiatives.
  • A conscientious work style including a diligent approach to completing the tasks at hand and a sense of accountability and pride in assignments.
