Director of Risk Management and Compliance

Reporting to our Vice President of Compliance, FullBloom is seeking a Director of Risk Management and Compliance to manage/minimize risk across SESI schools. The successful candidate will be a support to the VP, Compliance and assist in all areas of our corporate compliance program and its initiatives. This position is remote, requiring intermittent travel across SESI schools, as needed. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Internal (virtual) auditing
    • Refine and update audit components and template for programs
    • Ensure every SESI location audited at least once a year (more if any issues); manage prioritization of audits, and start to end process
    • Manage corrective action identification, communication and follow ups, ensuring all corrective actions are addressed/implemented
    • Identify locations that could benefit from more in-depth in person audit; work with head of implementation team to ensure audits occur and to work with location (and other functions if needed) on improvements
  • External (non standard) audits
    • Be the point person for non-standard external audits
    • Manage corrective action follow ups and implementation for non-standard audits
    • Maintain records from all external SESI audits
  • Improvement opportunities
    • Identify themes/trends in compliance deficiencies
    • Recommend potential process improvements and changes to SESI leadership
    • Work with relevant functions to ensure implementation of approved improvements and changes
  • SESI leader engagement
    • Be the recognized (and visible) SESI voice on compliance and risk management
    • Regularly engage with SESI leaders on compliance trends, findings and opportunities; be part of SESI senior leadership team
    • Collaborate with Compliance Administrator to regularly update and refine PowerBI leader reporting and dashboards
  • Risk Management and Corporate Compliance Program Support
    • Ensure a reliable process of obtaining and sharing necessary information with business process owners
    • Stay abreast of new regulations/rules or law that may create new risks and/or affect the business.
    • Partner with the Vice President, Corporate Compliance to act as a subject matter expert to assist the business in identifying and assessing key risks and mitigation strategies
    • Educate and advise the organization on risks and compliance related topics and/or issues within their process.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years risk management experience
  • 3 to 5 years compliance, quality, or auditing related experience
  • JD is not required.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications specifically, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Project management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to clearly articulate compliance initiatives to business units across the organization
