Job Summary: 

Senior Technical Consultants are the primary sales support resource for the sales organization for the Wealth channel. Senior Technical Consultants are tasked with becoming the “trusted advisor” and thus are expected to have deep knowledge and understanding of Wealth Management and Analytics solutions.  Senior Technical Consultants must demonstrate the value of Data & Analytics Platform solutions through product demonstrations, presentations and deep dive architecture and integration discussions with groups ranging from a prospect’s development/IT staff to C-suite personnel. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Senior Technical Consultant
    • Collaborate with Sales Managers in the Wealth channel to identify and uncover a prospect’s business goals, needs and pains
    • Partner with Relationship Management team in the management of existing client relationships and drive continued usage and revenue growth
    • Map the value of Wealth Data Platform solutions to the identified business drivers, working closely with Sales, Product Managers and Professional Services
    • Prepare and deliver tuned product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospects (on and offsite)
    • Deliver deep dive architecture and integration discussions
    • Work with Product Managers and Technical Consultants to perform gap analyses and to identify potential solution integration points
    • Own addressing prospect objections/issues (product functionality and competitive)
  • Other Tasks
    • Liaison between Sales and Product Management/Engineering providing input to Sales driven product/feature enhancements and associated product roadmaps
    • Assist in the delivery of sales product training to Service and Relationship Managers
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk 

Required Qualifications:

  • 7 years of work experience, including 5+ years relevant experience with analytics, data management, or business intelligence preferred
  • Expert knowledge in wealth management, including but not limited to financial planning, goals-based planning, investment management, products, practice management, operations, technology, and overall market trends
  • 10%- 20% travel is required
  • Experience in strategic consulting, management consulting, program / project management, process improvement, or business re-engineering
  • Demonstrated sound technical and business judgment and is recognized as a person with excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Value based selling skills
  • Excellent knowledge of business intelligence applications that deliver actionable insights - including the basics of data models, SQL, dashboards and reporting, and UI/UX design
  • Experience with Wealth Management, AdvisorTech, and Financial Wellness solutions and their functionality
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Finance, Computer Science or related field or work experience preferred
  • Sales/technology experience in the Financial Services vertical preferred

The annual salary range for this role is $66,000 to $150,000.
