Job Summary:

Head of Investor Relations for Envestnet (NYSE:  ENV)  is responsible for spearheading the development, implementation, and supervision of the company's Investor Relations function. This role encompasses the creation and execution of the Investor Relations strategy, operational plans, and budget. We are in search of an individual who embraces a hands-on approach and actively contributes to the execution of our Investor Relations initiatives.

In this capacity, the chosen candidate will function as a vital link and conduit of communication between Envestnet and investors, analysts, and other key stakeholders and influencers in the investment community. The primary operational goal of the Investor Relations program is to inform and keep stakeholders, including investors, security analysts, senior management, and the Board of Directors, well-versed about Envestnet. Collaborating closely with the CFO, this position will supervise all facets of the Investor Relations function, engaging frequently with the Company’s Executive Officers and various levels of management.

The ideal candidate will serve as a spokesperson for Envestnet, equipped with an extensive knowledge base of regulatory matters pertaining to communications with stakeholders. Envestnet is a NYSE-listed financial technology firm which develops and distributes wealth management technology and products to financial advisors and institutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Envestnet's Investor Relations strategic plan, utilizing benchmarks and industry best practices to refine the IR function. Take swift action to position Envestnet effectively in the marketplace.
  • Manage stakeholders, including internal leadership, Board of Directors, and external audiences, ensuring consistent and clear communication of Envestnet's value proposition.
  • Craft and deliver key investment messages tailored for the investment community, covering financial performance, business conditions, strategies, and company fundamentals. Monitor sell-side analyst models and earnings estimates, actively seeking new coverage and expanding institutional investor relationships.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and create periodic feedback reports on stock price, analyst estimates, industry perceptions, and market trends. Present findings to senior management and the Board, maintaining an integrated investor relations model.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of ENV's shareholder base and proactively seek new sell-side analysts and institutional investors.
  • Lead and develop reporting around Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) using TCFD and SASB frameworks.
  • Handle first-line communications between ENV and the investment community, participating in the development of a comprehensive crisis communications plan.
  • Orchestrate all aspects of the earnings sequence, from release to conference call and Q&A, presenting feedback to the Executive management team. Coordinate logistics, actively participate in the message creation, and provide support for quarterly earnings, shareholder meetings, conferences, analyst days, and investor
  • marketing trips. Maintain an investor database and prepare briefing books for meetings.
  • Develop presentations for investors and external constituents, crafting scripts for CEO, CFO, and other Executives presenting at conferences.
  • Conduct industry research to inform the IR strategy and provide competitive intelligence to senior management.
  • Ensure ENV adheres to all disclosure regulations and support established corporate business practices and policies.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Seeking candidates who are local to Philadelphia region, the position requires in-office presence a minimum of 4 days per week. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business Management or related field required. MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in investor relations, finance, planning and development, or corporate communication positions for a public company or a consulting agency.
  • Experience working as a buy-side or sell-side analyst a plus.
  • Outstanding financial and investment analysis skills, oral and written communication skills, and presentation ability.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by security analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its equity.
  • An in-depth understanding of the financial and investment markets and the ability to establish new relationships in new industries quickly.
  • Basic knowledge of SEC disclosure requirements and filings, accounting, and financial analysis.
  • Must be able to travel to investor meetings/conferences as needed.
