Job Summary:  

 

The Business Analyst plays a critical role in the end-to-end implementation process. Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing client support to understand business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative solutions. Collaborates with internal teams to analyze moderate to complex business problems and assess potential solutions. Delivers training and workshops to ensure client understanding. Assists with day-to-day questions about the platform. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all interactions support the client experience journey
  • Perform initial analysis of existing Platform Experiences, Data Solutions and 3rd party software integrations, supporting Solutions Consultant with identification of opportunities for improvement
  • Review and analyze moderate to complex business problems and assess potential solutions to ensure client requirements are captured and implemented in the platform
  • Facilitate and lead training and key workshops to ensure client understanding of platform capabilities and how they map to the future design state in the platform
  • Prepare detailed specifications for data mapping, customization reporting, business and technical requirements; gather key requirements to support the configuration, execution, and validation of user experience and interface designs
  • Identify and document data analytics and insights opportunities and work with other business units to prioritize new insight features that address client issues, features or feedback.
  • Ensure adherence to the delivery roadmap
  • Support all documentation initiatives to continuously improve and support the delivery process
  • Plan and prioritize individual/own assignments and tasks to support team performance measures; complete and report on assigned tasks
  • Partner with product managers to understand the needs of financial advisors and wealth managers.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the financial markets.
  • Develop data-driven insights and recommendations tailored to different advisor and client segments.
  • Translate complex data analysis into clear and actionable reports and visualizations.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to design and implement data-driven features and functionalities within the Wealth Data Platform used by enterprises, investment managers and financial advisors.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting data and analytics in wealth management.
  • By combining your business acumen, analytical skills, and financial knowledge, you'll play a vital role in helping Envestnet Data Solutions deliver decision intelligence tools and insights to financial professionals.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk
 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within financial services or technology companies.
  • 2 - 5 years of demonstrated experience in a client-facing role in various stages preferred, including but not limited to, pre-sales, solutions delivery, client experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, especially prioritization and managing flexible project scopes.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to apply this knowledge in the identification and development of complex business solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation/presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to express goals, strategies, and concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally
  • Superior organization, planning, time/workload management, risk identification and mitigation capabilities to plan and execute activities with defined goals
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and balance/manage multiple concurrent, competing activities and timelines with appropriate prioritization and focus
  • Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement and collaborating with leadership to implement solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Technical Skills 
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of financial data and wealth management concepts.
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) platforms required.
Soft Skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex data insights clearly.
  • Interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with financial advisors, wealth managers, and product development teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and opportunities within data.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Industry Knowledge 
  • Solid understanding of the wealth management industry and financial markets.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations relevant to financial data (e.g., FINRA, SEC).
 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Proficiency in databases (SQL, My SQL) is preferred
  • Experience reviewing contracts and working with Legal teams to draft and execute agreements
  • Experience working in the Financial Services sector or in a technical support capacity
