Envestnet is seeking a passionate and talented Business Development Director to join our Sales team. This position is expected to report to our Berwyn office.

Job Summary: 

The Business Development Director will be responsible for new business development activities within DC Record Keepers, Broker/Dealers, Banks (both Trust and Retail), Third Party Administrators, and Insurance companies. This role will be accountable for driving revenue across the entire Workplace solution suite of Envestnet.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue though new logos and have the capability to drive and lead sales with existing customer relationships.
  • Generating leads by collaborating with Marketing, Enterprise Consulting and all other means available.
  • Ability to work in matrix environment with exposure to sell various lines of business within Envestnet.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed annual individual sales goals and objectives within the prescribed time frame
  • Able to accurately assess pipeline, revenue opportunity and closing dates.
  • Ability to work with various teams and business units within the organization to drive new business initiatives.
  • Work with the various teams within Envestnet on solution definition and creating value proposition for customers and opportunities
  • Understanding of technology and vertical platforms in order to strategize & craft solutions (along with pre-sales teams) to match customer needs is essential
  • Working closely with head of sales to strategize and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Identifying market trends, use cases and staying current with best practices in the industry identify opportunity and capitalize.
  • Identifying prospective clients & create market plan for the identified territory/market segment.
  • Building and developing strong relations with senior executive and C levels, developing new business insights, and strategy to gain access and execute.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ Years of consultative selling
  • Proven track record of new business development exceeding plan
  • Proven record of building and maintaining relationships at senior levels
  • Proven ability to forge strong partnerships with internal business units and teams
