Envestnet is seeking a passionate and talented Strategic Relationship Management Principal Director to join our Sales team. This position is expected to report to either our Berwyn, PA or Raleigh, NC office.

Job Summary:

The Strategic Relationship Management Principal Director will focus on nurturing existing client relationships with the goals of helping our clients grow their business and increase overall relationship success and adoption through a sales process. In this role you will partner with your assigned institutional clients to consultatively develop a deeper understanding of their strategic needs and challenges while presenting actionable solutions, sharing best practices, and helping your firms leverage the various Envestnet resources to achieve their ideal use of our Financial Wellness ecosystem. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with various Envestnet colleagues to increase platform assets under management, expand product line and consultatively promote additional services to achieve defined sales goals
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and articulate Envestnet corporate vision to client firms
  • Possess deep understanding of advisory business space and market forces changing the financial services industry
  • Host 8 to 12 institutional client meetings per quarter, including leadership management meetings, due diligence and quarterly business reviews
  • Lead client meetings while ensure meetings are 'action oriented’ with an agreed-upon objective and defined outcome
  • Demonstrate full scope understanding of the client’s business and growth strategies including current and the future focus of firm
  • Gain deep understanding of client’s business model to help achieve annual goals and initiatives including internal quarterly metrics and documenting strategic business plans and profile sheets
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships at the senior executive level.
  • Utilize Salesforce to create collaborative relationships and processes for communicating with internal stakeholders. Additionally, log meetings, maintain opportunity pipeline within the tool
  • Leverage and coordinate subject matter experts to host client working sessions including market outlooks and industry trends, business updates, product/solution overviews
  • Work with Legal and Executive teams for contract renewal and pricing. 
  • Coordination with all internal field sales, service, and support Teams to ensure overall firm level goals and objectives
  • Coordinate all client conference activities including negotiate conference fees, all preconference outreach, all post conference summaries, etc. 
  • Travel: 50% - 80% Required
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 15 Years Financial Service Experience Minimum
  • 15 Years Relationship Management and Sales Experience
  • Proven ability to successfully build and manage relationships with complex clients and to anticipate and resolve issues that may arise
  • Track record of success with clients and prospect interactions financial business analysis and/or consulting experience is a plus
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, presentation and listening skills
  • The ability to take a consultative approach when interacting with clients
  • Strong multi-tasking, project management, presentation, and organizational skills
