Fairview Veterinary Hospital, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner,  is seeking a full-time Kennel Supervisor to join our growing team!

Our Ideal Candidate:  
An experienced Kennel Attendant to work alongside our team who is highly motivated, pays great attention to detail, able to work as a cohesive part of the team, and perform in a fast-paced environment. A full-time position would require working between 36- 40 hours a week, which will include a combination of day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Our goal is to provide quality and compassionate care to all patients, this must be of high priority to our teammates.  Compensation Range: $16-$18 per hour depending on experience. 
Job Duties:  
  •  Overseeing training and daily responsibilities of the Kennel team. 
  • Scheduling team members and adjusting schedule where needed to suit the needs of the kennel/hospital.
  •  Providing courteous customer service to pet parents.  
  •  Monitoring pets, includes noting their behaviors such as eating, drinking, and identifying potential problems to the supervisor or Veterinarian.  
  •  Maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital and boarding areas which includes but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing runs/cages, bathroom facilities, and spot cleaning as needed. 
  •  Providing enrichment and comfort to boarding pets through, walking, feeding, playtimes, baths, and maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital and boarding areas.  
  • Maintaining maintenance records of all equipment in kennel.
  •  Assisting LVTs with patients during pre-op, surgery, and post op.  
  •  Stock treatment room with supplies, maintaining a sterile environment for surgery. 
  •  Utilizing computer information systems to record patient history, update and maintain medical records. 
  •  Must be comfortable and confident handling cats and dogs of all sizes.
Job Requirements: 
  •  Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Kennel Attendant. 
  •  High school diploma or equivalent, AAS or higher preferred. 
  •  Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, squatting, reach, standing, and walking throughout the day.
