** This position will ideally be based in Austin, TX out of our headquarters office and be hybrid in office 2-days a week. Candidates based in other geographies across the U.S. will also be considered for a remote role. **

Job Summary:
Thrive Pet Healthcare is looking for an experienced, social media professional, and animal lover to join our team. You are passionate about storytelling, developing content and creative that is unique to the brand (and always on trend), and know the love that pets can bring to a person’s life and family. Foster Failures/Cat-A-Holics not only welcome but preferred.  
 
As the Thrive Pet Healthcare Social Media Specialist, your primary responsibility will be creating social content that brings to life our purpose – to nurture pets and people through meaningful relationships and exceptional pet care for both our pet owners and veterinarians, vet techs, and clinic teams. You will spread awareness of Thrive Pet Healthcare’s services and products, highlight marketing campaigns & promotions, and create content in partnership with internal and external content creators that exudes joy and brings comfort to both consumers and industry audiences.  
 
Secondarily, you will support 200+ local Facebook pages/Instagram accounts with self-service toolkits, back-end administrative support, and content briefs and recommendations.

This position is part of the Brand Marketing Team and reports directly to the Brand Manager. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Develop, implement, and manage social media marketing planning and social content calendars for consumer, industry, and local channels 
  • Lead creative asset creation in partnership with creative team, as well as internal cross-functional partners from talent brand, events, and corporate communications
  • Ideate and create brand social content that harnesses relevant social trends  
  • Manage channel implementation and maintenance for Thrive Pet Healthcare social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn (experience with other social platforms required)
  • Empower local clinic teams to capture social-first stories
  • Implement boosting strategy to increase brand awareness and follower count
  • Source and partner with external influencers for key activations throughout the year
  • Collaborate with agency partners as needed 
  • Create social media strategy presentations for stakeholders
  • Support with administrative tasks on local hospital social channels (200+ child pages); including but not limited to: page access, page ownership disputes, reputation management, and community engagement
  • Build out social media toolkits and calendars for local hospital self-service  
  • Social listening for industry, consumer, and local channels
  • Monthly social media reporting, trend tracking and presenting
Key Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in social media development and management
  • Demonstratable planning content & creative development social media experience 
  • Experience with parent-child Facebook pages
  • Experience engaging and working with influencers and internal content creators
  • Experience with administrative tasks on Facebook (page ownership, admin access, etc.)
  • Extreme fluency using social publishing software systems  
  • Proven proficiency and successful engagement performance track record on social media platforms 
  • Experience activating paid social campaigns 
  • Understanding of data analytics 
  • Deep investment in social media trends and platforms  
  • Strong project management & time management skills 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to build relationships and foster trust at all organizational levels 
  • Passion for pets, their health and well-being  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth environment, and to meet deadlines 
  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience
