If you’re early in your engineering journey and want real exposure to how production software gets built, tested, and strengthened, this is that kind of role. 
As an Entry-Level QA Engineer at Nutanix, you’ll work directly with Software Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers, the teams responsible for keeping our systems stable and performant in real-world environments. Together, you’ll test new features, uncover edge cases, and ensure what we ship performs as designed. 
You won’t be observing from the sidelines. You’ll be learning by doing, contributing to hybrid multicloud systems used by organizations around the world.

The Team 
Be one of the first to join our brand-new Vancouver engineering site and help create our R&D culture into the future. Multiple engineering teams are establishing a footprint in our new office including: 
  • NKP, a complete, enterprise-grade, production-ready platform based on Kubernetes that serves modern applications. 
  • QE, (INSERT DESCRIPTION) 
  • NCM, (INSERT DESCRIPTION) 
  • And Flow, (INSERT DESCRIPTION) 
QA is embedded from the start of the development process. We partner closely with Engineering and Product across networking, security, distributed systems, and emerging AI capabilities. The technical depth is real. The standards are high. The collaboration is constant.

What You’ll Do 
  • Learn Nutanix architecture, QA tools, and development workflows through hands-on mentorship. 
  • Test new features across functional, regression, performance, and usability dimensions. 
  • Identify and document defects clearly so they can be resolved efficiently. 
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers to diagnose issues and validate fixes. 
  • Contribute to test scripts and foundational automation efforts. 
  • Help improve how we test, not just what we test. 
 
What You’ll Bring 
  • You’re finishing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • A foundational understanding of software testing and the Software Development Life Cycle. 
  • Exposure to scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, Java, or similar is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English at a B2 level or equivalent. 
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada. 
  • A strong interest in learning quickly and contributing to high-quality software.
