JBS IT is looking for a candidate with good experience with Installation and Administration of MS SQL Server, Oracle and HANA database. Candidate should have knowledge of performance tuning and the ability to handle the on-call rotation and support issues individually and willing to work on weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain development, test and production databases of MS SQL, Oracle and HANA Databases.
  • Ability to configure and trouble shoot issues on Always On Technologies - Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping and Availability groups
  • Familiarity with Windows Failover clusters
  • Ability to configure and trouble shoot issues on Oracle Dataguard and Standby.
  • Maintain security policies at database level and instance level.
  • Scheduled and perform different backups based on business need on MS SQL Server, Oracle and HANA.
  • Manage backups at enterprise level backup tools such as CommVault, Tivoli, HP StoreOnce
  • Perform refreshes from PROD to DEV and UAT systems.
  • Configure and schedule maintenance jobs.
  • Setup SQL Agent alerts for DB Level and OS level.
  • Good knowledge on PowerShell scripts and Shell scripts
  • Documentation creation for problem resolution, daily maintenance, backup and recovery, and configuration management.
  • Research/discover tools/software solutions for maintenance/support purposes.
  • Follow industry standards and recommends system enhancements.
  • Provide production support for deployed systems.
  • Sound knowledge of performance tuning SQL Statements
  • Analyze performance issue generate traces and understand the explain/query plan
  • SQL server complete administration jobs, Linked Servers, Logs review, database refreshes, moving databases between servers, user’s setup
  • Configuring the monitoring tools like Foglight for Oracle & SQL Server
  • On-call rotation required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle and HANA Administration
    • MS SQL Server 2008R2,2012,2014,2016,2017 & 2019
    • Oracle 10g, 11g 12c
    • HANA DB Administration on 1.0 and 2.0
  • Maintain the security policies in user level, Server level.
  • Scheduled and perform the different backups based on environment.
  • Perform the refreshes from PROD to DEV and UAT systems.
  • Perform the failover and failback of SQL Server, Oracle and Hana databases
  • Oracle database monitoring
  • Oracle database refreshes
  • Configure and schedule the regular maintenance jobs.
  • Setup the alerts for DB Level and OS level.
  • Knowledge on performance tuning
  • Troubleshoot PowerShell scripts
  • knowledge on shell scripting
  • Configuring the monitoring tools like Foglight for Oracle & SQL Server
  • Good understanding on windows and Linux operating system and domain concepts
  • Good to have knowledge on configuring and monitoring the HANA Cockpit, Solution Manager.
  • Familiarity with Azure and cloud systems
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays
  •  401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
  • Base salary range of $75,000 - $100,000
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
