Job duties include:
  •  Preparing the Separator Room and equipment for operation, turning on vacuum tank waste system, processing chicks as soon as everyone is ready.
  • Processing involves loading stacks of hatch baskets into the unstacker, picking up lose chicks on the floor, pushing empty hatch tray dollies into the Tray Wash room, monitoring equipment for issues, etc.
  • Flocks are to be kept separated and inform Chick Room Supervisor of flock changes. Cull chicks and egg shells will be into wast hopper every 15 minutes.
    Once processing is complete the room and processing equipment will be cleaned and sanitized. No residual egg shell or dust should be left on the equipment or the floor at the end of any processing day.

  • Once the vacuum tank has been dumped the vacuum tank lid, walls, I-beam structure, and concrete should be washed down completely. If the lid is not washed everyday it will leak and we will lose suction from the system.
  • On Wednesday all chick boxes will be cleaned. All processing employees assist with this and then perform other cleaning duties in incubators, air handling equipment, and facilities.
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor or management.

       EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.                                                                                          EOE/Vet/Disabled
