At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.

 We have implemented safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are working to ensure social distancing within our facility. We have installed physical barriers throughout our facility such as plexi-glass or plastic barriers between team member work stations. Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.

QA tech will be responsible for conducting microbial plating throughout the hatchery Plating will be done on weekly and monthly basis depending on location. Plating schedules/locations will be determined by hatchery management and assigned to QA tech. 
Processing Duties-Chick Rectal Temps, Chick Box Counts , Chick Quality.


Residual/Fertility Breakout

9am & 12pm Rounds

  • Make rounds at both 9 am and 12pm everyday
    • Report any issues identified to hatchery management

Vaccine Mixing

  • QA tech will be trained to backup the processing vaccine mixer


High School Diploma or equivalent. Some plant experience preferred. Must be able to stand for extended periods, work in wet/cold and/or hot environment, and lift up to 70 lbs. when needed. Must possess excellent reading, writing, and communication skills. Must be computer literate. Must have good math skills. Must be able to pass the QA exam (scoring at least 80 %) and a Label Interpretation test with a score of 100%. HACCP Certification a plus or must possess the ability to obtain HACCP certification. Work effectively individually as well as in a team structured environment. Must be able to perform and document each essential duty satisfactorily with minimum supervision. Must follow all safety policies and procedures. May be required to perform other job duties as required and deemed necessary by supervisor.



To perform the daily functions of HACCP, SSOP, Pre-Op, AQL, GMP, Quality Assurance and Prerequisite programs, and other concerns effecting the plant performance.
