Position at JBS USA Food Company


JBS has 2 new laboratories/processing facilities with the primary function of performing the first processing of FBS within JBS’s abattoirs in the United States and Canada.  Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS) is a byproduct of harvesting cattle for food consumption and is the best growth medium in cell culture applications for medical research, pharmaceutical and biotechnical manufacturing helping with development of life saving medicines and treatments.  This role will be responsible for the collections of Fetal Bovine Blood and training of collectors in JBS’ North American operations reporting to the FBS Operations Manager.



  • Trains and provides an environment for employees to achieve their maximum quality and productivity performance in their respective positions
  • Trains against SOP’s for collections of Fetal Bovine Blood to meet the companies and customer’s strict quality guidelines
  • Trains and supports on GMP’s, Safety, Collections Techniques, and Quality methods
  • Ensures appropriate lot identification and tracking of raw materials to ensure safety and security in the supply chain
  • Ensures that all activities are in compliance with organization goals and applicable regulations
  • Reviews analyses of test information to determine operating efficiency of process or equipment and to diagnose malfunctions
  • Maintains frequent communication with JBS facilities processing and operations managers and personnel to discuss processes improvements, quality control techniques, shipping and handling and all related tasks
  • Actively participates in group meetings, line meetings, and supervisory meetings
  • Other duties as assigned





Will be required to travel within the JBS Beef facilities in the United States, up to 80% travel.



  • Beef industry experience required
  • Previous leadership and training skills with 20 or more employees
  • Effective communication both orally and in writing
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Must be able to work assigned hours/days - including occasional weekends - as required


EDUCATION: High School and/or Higher Education preferred, related work experience acceptable


EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Beef Manufacturing facility (Packinghouse Experience)
