Here in Dalhart, TX, JBS Live Pork has a large sow production facility working daily to produce quality livestock. This Farm Production Trainer position will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading and supervising production training using various resources and technology.  Principle Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop “core competencies” of workforce with Farm Managers
  • Maintain current and up-to-date training materials
  • Use technology such as AgCreate and Alchemy in the creation and implementation of training materials and SOPs
  • Identify and address training and development needs by site
  • Train employees side by side with on-farm trainers
  • Train the trainers at each farm site to ensure successful implementation of training materials
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and success by allowing trained employees to teach back what they have been trained
  • Provide periodic reporting to facility management
  • Facilitate and assess employees in line with the on farm training program

 Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or above in related field or equivalent experience demonstrated
  • Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc)
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Hands-on leader with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals
  • Proficient computer and database skills

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Background knowledge of the company and its operations
  • BS - BS degree in education, human resources or relevant field
  • Hog production experience
  • Excellent track record in designing and executing successful training programs
