Role:

 

The inventory analyst position functions as support to the plant procurement team. The role is instrumental in materials management to enable decisions that directly impact performance. The position supports inventory management and works closely with Operations, Maintenance and Accounting to resolve issues.  This position provides the candidate with opportunities to assist with process improvements, while working in a team environment and interacting with multiple cross functional groups at the plant.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Allocate daily consumption usage to finished goods
  • Perform cycle counts on all physical inventory as required.
  • Resolve inventory variances and correct in SAP.
  • Lead root cause identification and action planning to reduce/eliminate inventory variances.

 

  • Track trends or gaps in material consumption (i.e. scrap rates) to assist Procurement Manager and Finance in forecasting of ingredients and packaging and maintaining accurate consumption standards.
  • Work with Procurement Manager, Operations, and Finance to establish minimum inventory requirements of each item of packaging and ingredients.
  • Assist Procurement Manager in creating requisitions for packaging and ingredients as needed.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment:

 

This role is based in a processing facility and individuals in this role are expected to spend time on the plant floor. While at the facility, employee will be subject to manufacturing enviroment, humid/wet production floor and other hazards common to a food manufacturing facility 

  • Lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with great accuracy
  • Working in cold or warm environments
  • Approximately 15% office work, 85% in plant or inventory supply areas
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
