This is a position on the Red Fuse agency team for our global Consumer Package Goods (CPG) client. The agency is fully-integrated, with team members assigned to multiple marketing disciplines (consumer advertising, shopper marketing, eCommerce, media, public relations, etc.). This is a high functioning team that works together enabling speed, efficiency, and connectivity. The team is responsible for Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) across numerous CPG brands. The agency is global in nature, with offices spread throughout the world. Thus, the agency’s work for the client runs in over 200 countries.

Project Managers work closely with the senior team members to understand the client business model, articulate project objectives to team members and assist with ground-level project execution. They are keenly aware and proactive in ensuring on time delivery and positive financial outcomes on projects to which they are assigned.

The Project Manager acts as liaison between client stakeholders (and their specific project objectives) and the internal Red Fuse team delivering against those objectives. The Project Manager thrives in the role of project SME—being the deep owner of all project requirements with the ability to provide detail and current status on any project item. The Project Manager also strives to become a business owner by understanding and affecting the overall relationship and financial health of the relationship by facilitating communications and escalating risks to internal and external project stakeholders.

The Project Manager works with various members of the project team, including clients, to become the master of requirements and remain constantly aware of project status. He or she works closely subject matter experts to ensure that initial project objectives and requirements are met. The Project Manager effectively communicates with all project stakeholders. He or she fosters a strong client relationship and maintains a keen sense of project health, and continuously strives for process improvements.

Required Skills

  • Works closely with the account management team to:
    • Understand client business model
    • Articulate project objectives to team members
    • Assist with ground-level project execution
    • Deliver projects/programs on time
  • Acts as an internal liaison that reinforces client/project priorities, clarifies requirements and solves for identified cross-discipline gaps
  • Schedules and runs meetings with internal constituents
  • Manages project team relationship in coordination with account lead
  • Helps the team in driving internal and external communications (scheduling meetings, compiling/distributing notes, tracking action items, ensure follow-through on intermediate and milestone deliverables, etc.)
  • Maintains project momentum and keeps project and team on track
  • Catalogs and maintains all project documentation and deliverables
  • Defines and clearly explains necessary project processes/workflows

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
  • One to three years of agency and/or client-side experience managing large-scale marketing projects
  • Excellent communication skills; creates clarity where there is ambiguity/confusion
  • Strong organization skills
  • Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions and ability to follow up
  • Embraces change
  • Passion for learning
  • Ability to follow direction
