Finance Manager
With minimal oversight, this role involves the comprehensive compilation and in-depth analysis of complex financial data. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset in creating and meticulously examining monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. They will be responsible for ensuring the utmost accuracy and integrity of all recorded financial information, leveraging their expertise to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for potential optimization. This position requires a proactive approach to financial management, combining analytical prowess with a thorough understanding of accounting principles to provide valuable insights that drive informed decision-making across the organization This position is based in Atlanta, GA in supporting the MARTA location.

- Competitive compensation package of minimum $90,000 – maximum $94,000.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reports to General Manager of a multi-cost center division with a dotted line reporting requirement to Regional Finance team.
- Responsible for all aspects of month end close, including posting of journal entries, variance analysis and financial statement preparation for multiple on-site cost centers.
- Responsible for preparation and maintenance of balance sheet including monthly reconciliations.
- Responsible for accurate inventory and consumption records.
- Work closely with inventory management team to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Manage local on-site accounting team with direct responsibility over client billing and accounts payable. Includes training and development of staff.
- Monthly tracking and analysis of job/project costs to budget and contracts by cost center.
- Responsible for monthly forecasting and annual budgets for all cost centers.
- Monitor Accounts Receivable accuracy and collections.
- Set-up new vendors and new clients according to company policy
- Review and Approve Accounts Payable invoices.
- Review subcontractor invoices for proper allocation to jobs.
- Handle requirements related to insurance certifications, releases and other required documents.
- Act as back-up to Staff Accountant, Accounting Clerks and Payroll staff to keep the department running smoothly.
- Additional duties as assigned by General Manager and/or Division Finance team.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting management role
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required. MBA/CPA preferred.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Strong knowledge of accounting, cost controls, and job costing
- Ability to understand and review complex billing and job costing concepts.
- Proficient in MS Office products, including Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge of automated account system such as J.D. Edwards System
- Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally, and make recommendations.
- Able to work as a team player with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change.

- Able to work on-site weekdays and travel between locations.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules when/if needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
